When Gnats Attack

I walked along the undercliff path to Rottingdean today. It was very warm, what with the white cliffs reflecting the sunlight so efficiently. There were vast, and I mean vast clouds of gnats along the bits without all the rocks breaking up the waves. Not entirely sure why.

So I spent quite a while trying to get a good picture of the things, and got a lot of funny looks from passers-by. It was great. They’d come up and spend a few seconds staring down into the water, look at me, look down again, then usually just wander off. Sometimes they’d ask, “Can you see a fish or something?”

I wish I had seen fish, that would have been cool.
