From April 2003 to January 2009 I kept this as a photoblog. I started off using one of the first camera phones, the Sharp GX10, and used a variety of phones and digital cameras.
The process taught me a lot about noticing things and about photography in general. I enjoyed using the really early camera phones as their low resolution made me focus on larger patterns and abstracts. The more advanced phones and cameras have a bit too much fidelity for that and while I learned a lot I don't think I enjoyed it as much, so stopped keeping the site up to date. Taking a photo every day, and posting only pictures from that day (with a couple of exceptions) means that there's a massive range of quality between them. They are what they are, and they'll stay here for as long as I can keep them here.
Since then I've used Instagram and Flickr (though I'm not on those anymore), and had a design/typography site called Ministry of Type (which I stopped updating in 2015.
My current blog, where I sometimes upload photos to, is Aegir.org. I also post photos and other stuff on Mastodon.
