The View From The East

This is the view from Arnside Knott in South Cumbria. I took this last week and have been waiting for a quiet day to post it. I made a couple of edits to the image: I removed two caravan parks and some kind of bunker complex that I believe is used to store errant children. Neither contributed anything positive to the view, and while such overt editing is not something I like to do, I felt that it was justified in this case. Such things can become the focus of a photograph by being so out of place, and if that’s not what motivated you to take the picture they can just become a distraction.

Caravans are just plain horrible anyway - they deserve to be erased.

OK, here’s the original.
