This is from my trip up to my parents’ place last week. I wasn’t going to post it but then I remembered the video I took of the tide coming in at Morecambe Bay. People are regularly trapped by the tide in the bay because sand and mudbanks hold back the tide for a bit so you think you’re fine, then the water comes over the top and you get caught. Add to that large areas of quicksand, deep mud and various river channels and people can get into trouble quickly.

So here it is, just one small bit of the tide coming in. I should add that the tide was mostly in by this point already, in some places the low tide point is several miles from the shore:
