Inspired by this Photojojo article.
I had the panorama made from a while back, but I’d not done anything with it. The image was absolutely huge 56000 by 1750 - I’d had to save it as a ‘PSB’ file from Photoshop, the Large Image Format. Indeed, when I was editing it to get it ready for making into a planet I suddenly had 10Gb less hard drive space as Photoshop grabbed it all for its swap space.
I added in lots of space at the bottom of the original image to minimise distortion of the nearer bits of Brighton, so I stuck a bunch of grass and flowers in there - actually taken at the spot I took the panorama from, so it’s all ‘authentic’.
